On Wednesday, December 19th, Glacierview Animal Hospital became the second veterinary hospital in Whatcom County to be AAHA accredited. Most pet owners don’t realize that accreditation is not required in animal medicine like it is in human medicine. The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) is the ONLY organization that accredits veterinary practices in the U.S and Canada. To be accredited by AAHA, a veterinary hospital must voluntarily undergo a rigorous evaluation process that covers over 900 standards designed to uphold the highest standards of veterinary care.
This is something that Dr. Peter Rule and his staff have been working towards for a long time. “We are extremely excited about receiving this accreditation and what it says about our standard of care and the dedication of our healthcare team. We are also thrilled to continue on down this path and ensure that we are maintaining the best possible level of care for our patients.”
